About HMG

Sustainability, from roof to fibre

For HMG, sustainability is a strategic pillar, not a standalone project. It is part of our building at Park Forum, of the energy we generate and store ourselves, of the fibres we work with and of the way we produce: 100% in the Netherlands, for customers in Europe.

01A strategic pillar

Where you will find sustainability at HMG

For us, sustainability is not a label on the packaging but a choice made on five levels: from the building to the route to your warehouse.

  1. The buildingEnergy-efficient, certified GPR 8.0.
  2. The energySolar panels, battery storage and charging points.
  3. The fibresSustainable and certified, including GRS.
  4. The productionQuality, traceability and EU regulations.
  5. The routeMade in the Netherlands, close to your market.

02The building

A building with a GPR rating of 8.0

Our headquarters and factory at Park Forum in Eindhoven form a single energy-efficient building of 12,500 m², certified GPR 8.0.

Production, warehouse, offices and showroom are all under one roof. The building was designed for the factory we are today — and for the factory we want to become.

03The energy

Our own power, from our own roof

The roof of our building carries 1,152 solar panels. We store the electricity they generate in our own batteries — so that we can also use it when the sun is not shining.

04The fibres

Fibres backed by a certificate

Sustainability starts with what goes inside a pillow or duvet. That is why we work with sustainable and certified fibres, including GRS-certified fibres.

  • GRS and other certifications

We agree with you, programme by programme, which certifications apply to your collection.

  • Natural fillings

In addition to synthetic and nano gel fibres, we offer natural fillings such as wool and bamboo.

05The production

Producing responsibly

Producing sustainably also means producing well. At HMG, quality management is built into every production step.

  1. In-house quality control

We carry out our own checks, at every step of production — not just at the end.

  2. Batch-by-batch traceability

Every batch is traceable, so that origin and processing remain transparent.

  3. Compliance with EU regulations

We produce in accordance with European regulations, with lab tests for multiple markets.

  4. Automation for efficiency

High-precision fibre opening and automated filling and weighing: every product gets exactly the filling it should.

  5. Compactly packed

Roll-pack and vacuum packaging make products more compact, so that more fits into a single shipment.

06The route

Made in the Netherlands, for Europe

100% of our production takes place in the Netherlands. For our European customers, that means shorter transport routes and a supply chain that does not depend on the other side of the world.

  • Shorter transport routes

From Eindhoven to your warehouse in Europe, rather than a container shipped across the ocean.

  • European independence

An independent European supply chain is one of the pillars of our strategic roadmap.

  • Stock close at hand

Our own warehouse with 6,000 pallet positions and automated internal logistics.

07Step by step

Sustainability in action

For us, sustainability is a direction, not an end point. The most important steps so far, and what comes next:

  1. 2024

Construction of our new, energy-efficient headquarters at Park Forum begins.

  2. 2026

Solar power, battery storage and our showroom are added.

  3. Next

Sustainable growth across all our markets and an independent European supply chain.
